Fundraising Activities
Annual Golf Tournament and Fundraiser
For the last 12 years, the William W. Winpinsinger Center/IAMAW has hosted a golf tournament to help raise funds for the Center. This tournament, which hosts 108 players in teams of four on the private golf course at Placid Harbor in Hollywood, Maryland, brings together community leaders and concerned citizens working (and playing!) together to help fund services for victims of domestic violence. The 12th Annual Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, August 11, 2007 (rain date August 18). For more information on fielding a team or purchasing a sponsorship, contact the Center at (301) 373-4141.
Annual Direct Appeal
Beginning in 2006, the Center conducted a direct mail campaign, inviting Community members to make a contribution, whether large or small, to support the Center services. The 2nd Annual Direct Appeal will occur in late autumn of 2007. Stay posted for more information at this site, and be sure to watch your mail for a notice in November 2007, as well. The Center now accepts contributions through PayPal and via check through "snail mail."
Evening in Paris
In the fall of 2007, the Center will host a fundraising and awards dinner at the Cafe des Artistes in Leonardtown. The dinner is by invitation only and gathers leaders in the field of domestic violence prevention, as well as community leaders. The date of the dinner will be posted on this site by early August.
Tax deductible donations help offset the Center's expenses and aid in the development of services.
